We have partnered with Carraig Rua Bakery in Carrick-on-Shannon, a small artisan bakery, that use traditional methods, proper ingredients and no nasty additives, everything is organically certified.
Each loaf is carefully handmade over 48 hours, during which time the flavours and textures develop, giving the bread amazing flavour, texture and character that can't be found in mass-produced loaves.
From sourdough to rich, moist rye, Carraig Rua's range of bread is baked to perfection, using only the best organic ingredients.

Description:
Our Organic Spelt Multigrain Sourdough is made with a blend of organic spelt flour, organic wholegrain spelt, and organic rye flour, enriched with organic sunflower, pumpkin, and flax seeds for a deliciously nutty depth. Using our own homemade sourdough starter, it’s slowly fermented for 30 hours to develop a rich, complex flavour. Proved in baskets for its signature shape and crust, it’s perfect with a good strong Cheddar and a dollop of pickle.
This hand-made, slow fermented loaf was part baked ready to be finished in your oven and enjoyed at home.
Freshly baked with no additives, the way bread is supposed to be. If you’re not planning to bake it straight away, our loaves freeze exceptionally well and can be enjoyed at a later date.
Directions for finishing the bread:
Take the loaves you want to use and lightly sprinkle with some water.
Pop in a preheated oven (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Allow to cool and enjoy.
From your freezer: Take loaf from freezer and put on wire rack to defrost for approximately 4 hours. Lightly sprinkle with some water and pop in a preheated oven (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Allow to cool and enjoy.
